Lok Sabha procedures disrupted for third day

New Delhi, Mar 7 The procedures of the Lok Sabha were today upset for the third sequential day in the midst of dissents by different gatherings, including NDA partners TDP and Shiv Sena over different issues.

When the House met for the day, individuals from different gatherings, including TDP, Shiv Sena, TRS, YSR Congress, AIADMK and TMC began raising mottos once again different issues, following which Speaker Sumitra Mahajan deferred the procedures for a hour toward the beginning of today

Four people captured for association in 12th paper leak

Mumbai, Mar 7 Four people have been captured for allegedly leaking question papers of the Std 12th examination from Bhoiwada in central Mumbai.

On February 28 a student was gotten by an educator with a picture of the science question paper on his cell phone a hour prior to the exam at a junior college in Parel.

Examination uncovered the contribution of some more people in the paper leak, a police official said.

Captures were made a week ago.

It is suspected that the student who had gotten to the chemistry paper attempted to forward it to another student.

Each of the four accused were booked under the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University, Board and other Specified Examinations Act, 1982, and additionally the Information Technology Act, the police official stated, without disclosing their names.

PNB chief Sunil Mehta shows up before SFIO : Bank fraud scam

Mumbai, Mar 7 PNB managing director and CEO Sunil Mehta today appeared before the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) here to record his announcement in the about Rs 12,700 crore scam at the bank.

The New Delhi-based Punjab National Bank is the third loan specialist which has been called by the SFIO in the last two days regarding the USD 2 billion fraud, professedly executed by diamond traders Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi.

Mehta was seen entering the SFIO office here before 11 AM.

Axis Bank and ICICI Bank officials had appeared before SFIO yesterday to record their statement in the case.

Mehta and PNB’s executive director K V Brahmaji Rao were a month ago called by the CBI regarding the claimed extortion.

Actor Irrfan Khan not in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital, say sources

Mumbai, Mar 7 Reports of actor Irrfan Khan being admitted to the Kokilaben Hospital here are false, sources at the hospital said today.

The denial came after bits of gossip started circulating that the 51-year-old actor has brain cancer and has been admitted to the hospital.

On March 5, Irrfan had issued an announcement that he was suffering from “a rare disease” and would share points of interest when there was a conclusive diagnosis.

“It isn’t valid. He isn’t here at the doctor’s facility for treatment,” an authority at the Kokilaben hospital.

The actor’s team also subdued bits of gossip about him being admitted to the private doctor’s facility.

Asked he has tumor, they declined to remark.

“We will remark as quickly as time permits. No remarks right now,” a representative for the actor told.

Loss of life in Russian plane crash rises to 39

Moscow, Mar 7 The loss of life of the Russian traveller plane that crashed in Syria on Tuesday, has ascended to 39, Russia’s Defence Ministry affirmed.

Prior, the defence ministry said that 32 travellers were killed in the crash.

“Russia’s Antonov A 26 transport plane that slammed while arriving at Hmeymim landing strip in Latakia in Syria was conveying six group individuals and 33 travelers. Their families will be given the important help and support,” the barrier service was cited by TASS as saying.

According to the updated information, there were 33 travellers and six group members aboard the aircraft. Every one of them were military servicemen from the Russian Armed Forces, it included.
