Loss of life in Russian plane crash rises to 39

Moscow, Mar 7 The loss of life of the Russian traveller plane that crashed in Syria on Tuesday, has ascended to 39, Russia’s Defence Ministry affirmed.

Prior, the defence ministry said that 32 travellers were killed in the crash.

“Russia’s Antonov A 26 transport plane that slammed while arriving at Hmeymim landing strip in Latakia in Syria was conveying six group individuals and 33 travelers. Their families will be given the important help and support,” the barrier service was cited by TASS as saying.

According to the updated information, there were 33 travellers and six group members aboard the aircraft. Every one of them were military servicemen from the Russian Armed Forces, it included.

The plane crashlanded when it was around 500 meters shy of the runway. Both the team individuals and travelers were murdered.

It further said that Russian defence ministry’s commission was examining every conceivable form of the crash.

Defence ministry authorities said that the crash might have happened due to a “technical fault”, including that neither the plane burst into flames nor it went under assault. It included that a major general was among the dead.

Russia’s Investigative Committee reported it had opened a criminal case into the crash, saying investigators would look into suggestions that flight-safety rules had been flouted.

A month ago, a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft was shot down finished the northwestern province of Idlib in Syria, accepted to have been hit by a rocket.
